A NOTE FROM THE RICKEN FAMILY This site was developed to share the experiences of the most courageous faith-filled person we know, our daughter and sister, Mary Beth Ricken. Mary Beth was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor on November 9, 1999 and lost her battle with cancer on January 23, 2001 at the age of 15. Although she lost her battle with cancer, she won the battle of life with her example of following God's will with immeasurable love. As you explore, you will find information on a prayer chain, pictures of Mary Beth, and various updates posted since her diagnosis with brain cancer on November 9, 1999 through the date of her death on January 23, 2001 and beyond. We recommend that you begin with November of 1999 and work your way through to today. You will also read about Mary Beth's Angels Foundation, a non-profit charity established to fulfill Mary Beth's dream of assisting underprivileged children. She provided guidance to us on the objectives of the foundation and was thrilled at the aspect of her dreams being realized.
